A gospel, a verse from the Bible: you can feel Him.
Can you feel his presence?
God's presence doesn't always come with something grandiose. In fact, most of the time, he's in the details that we hardly notice. That gospel music playing in the car on the street. That Bible verse that appeared on your social networks. That breeze that calms you down out of nowhere, the warm coffee in the middle of a hard day, the silence that comes when everything is noisy inside you - that could be Him.
Have you ever noticed how different some moments in your routine seem? As if they had a light weight, an invisible comfort? It could be on the way to work, when traffic forces you to slow down and you realize that you were living on automatic. Or that moment when the sun comes through the window and you feel a warmth that isn't just physical. It's a warmth that soothes the soul.
God doesn't need to announce that he has arrived. He shows himself in the subtleties. In the dog wagging its tail when you're sad. In a message from someone you weren't expecting. In a mother's lap. In your child's smile. Or even in your own laughter after a seemingly endless cry.
These little touches in the routine are no coincidence. They are silent reminders that you are not alone. And you may not even realize it at the time, but when peace appears without explanation... it's God saying: "Hey, I'm here."
Can you hear him?
Some people think that listening to God is like hearing a loud, clear voice calling their name. But most of the time, He speaks in other ways. And he speaks to everyone - even those who think they can't hear.
You know when you're on the edge and you think: "I can't cope anymore." And then something inside you says: "Just one more day. Just one more step."? It's not just you trying to convince yourself. It could be God whispering to you not to let go of the rope.
It speaks in the lyrics of the song that starts playing at the right moment. It speaks in the random text that appears in your feed. In the conversation between two strangers that you overhear. It speaks in the silence, yes - but also in the mess.
Sometimes He responds with a strong intuition. You can't explain it, but you feel it. A desire to change course. A "no go", even when everything seemed right. Or that "go", even though fear is screaming at you.
And it's not just those who live with the Bible under their arm. God speaks to those who don't even know how to pray properly. To those who are distant. Those who are in doubt. He speaks to those who are trying. He speaks to those who are tired. Because he understands the language of the soul, and he even hears the thoughts we don't have the courage to say out loud.
Have you spoken to him today?
You don't need a ritual. Nor pretty words. God doesn't require a formula. He only wants truth.
Talking to Him can be in the middle of doing the dishes, washing your soul without even realizing it. It can be in the shower, with tears mixed in with the water. It can be while folding laundry, while driving, while holding back tears in public. Talking to God doesn't have a right time - it has a feeling.
And there are those who talk to God in the purest way: by thinking out loud. "God, help me?" "Will it work?" "Show me the way..." Even a sigh can be a prayer, if it's what's left when everything has collapsed inside.
Have you given thanks today? It doesn't have to be for something huge. It could be for the strength to get up, for the courage to carry on, for the simple food on your plate, or for the peace that came even when your head told you it couldn't go on any longer.
Talking to God means making room for hope. It's remembering that even when there's no immediate response, God's listening never fails. And that even when you think you're talking to yourself, there's a heart listening. A heart that understands even the tightest silence.
Something bigger is on the way: are you ready?
You know when everything seems stuck, when nothing is moving and you feel like you're in the wrong place, but you don't know where to go? Sometimes it's in this discomfort that change is born.
And perhaps the very fact that you are reading this text now is not by chance. Perhaps this content has come to you because God knew that, today, you needed a sign. A nudge. A reminder that there's something bigger brewing - even when you don't see it.
Nothing happens out of the blue. Every person who crosses your path, every pause the universe forces you to take, every no you've received, every pain that seemed unfair... all of this could be preparing you for something that will make sense down the road.
Perhaps what seems like loss today will become liberation tomorrow. Maybe what hurts today will become healing tomorrow. And maybe, just maybe, what you're feeling now isn't just sadness, but the warning that the old cycle is ending - and a new one is about to begin.
Are you ready for New Year's Eve? Because it doesn't arrive with fireworks. It starts there. In restlessness. In the desire to change. Tired of living on autopilot.
And God? God knows what you need before you even ask. He knows what your heart can't even put into words yet.
And if you've come this far, maybe it's because he wants to remind you: you have not been forgotten. You are being prepared.
